SARA Group, represented by SARA Hanoi Jsc., has recently worked out the project on establishing the SIBT University (Sara International Business Technology) to submit to Lai Chau People’s Committee. After consideration, Lai Chau People’s Committee approved of the project and sent official document to the Ministry of Education and Training submitting the Prime Minister to ratify SIBT University establishment.

According to the project, the SIBT is a multi-field university. Initially, it will train in such key specialties as Information Technology, Biotechnology, Electricity-Electronics Technology, Foreign Languages... which are suitable with the demand and socio-economic development orientation of the province in particular and of the region in general in conformity with the global economic integration.

It is said that the establishment of SIBT University will help to supplement human resources and foster talents, directly create opportunities for ethnic minorities in remote areas of Lai Chau province as well as in the region to enter university with small study fee, contributing effectively to the Government’s education strategy to 2010. Moreover, the implementation of the project will also create advantage to attract human force in improving province’s socio-economic infrastructure. The SIBT University establishment conformities with both short-term and long-term development demand of the province in particular and of the North-West in general.
